Conductive Education Sessions
Here at Conductive Education Taranaki (CET) we believe in opportunities.
We’re all about movement! Movement is what gives our lives meaning. Whenever we communicate with someone we love, hug someone, go for a walk or run, dance, make a funny face or laugh – that’s movement.
Our kids are active participants in the learning process – not recipients of a “treatment”. Their goals and achievements are their own; we work alongside them on what is meaningful to them. It’s a process of learning, and we know that learning happens with motivation, fun, play and social connection. We’re passionate about kids playing, having fun together and being active – because that’s what works!
We currently deliver weekly, individually tailored, small group sessions to children enrolled in our service.
If you’re interested in finding out whether Conductive Education is right for your child, please get in touch with us. After a bit of a chat, we’ll decide together how we can best understand your child’s challenges and opportunities. Conductive Education may not be the best fit for your child, but whatever happens, you will be warmly welcomed into our community. You are not alone.
How To Access Our Services
We’re here! You don’t need a referral or a diagnosis. Conductive Education sessions are :
- Delivered regularly in a small group environment, relevant to your child’s developmental needs
- Held at our centre, which is at Westown School on Sanders Ave, New Plymouth

- No confirmed diagnosis is required to access our support.
- Conductive Education may not be the best “fit” for your child, but you will always be welcome in our community.
